Looking for surfers to shoot

Hi All,

So I am just starting to get into surf photography and I have a Nikon D7100 and I am looking at getting the Tamron 150-600, Just wondering if its a good lens and worth the purchase, i have only heard great reviews about it! But I just want to get the low down from actual people shooting the surf!
