Southern Tasmania Forecast (issued Monday 7th April)
Best Days: No good days
Recap
Friday's solid increase in swell dropped back through Saturday but the morning and early afternoon were good with offshores. Sunday was slow ahead of a slight kick in new swell and this has persisted at a small and inconsistent 2ft this morning across Clifton.
Winds were favourable during the morning but have since gone NE, opening up more exposed spots across the region.
This week (Apr 7 - 11)
There's nothing significant on the cards for this week as today's SW groundswell fades leaving tiny waves across Clifton.
A slight increase in background energy is due Thursday and N/NE winds will favour more exposed spots over Clifton.
This weekend onwards (Apr 12 onwards)
The models diverge on the weekend's forecast as a deepening surface trough across the south-east of the country is throwing a spanner in the works. If this system deepens over us we could see a stormy increase in S/SE windswell Saturday, but if it forms further west or east, we'll see nothing.
Therefore check back here on Wednesday for an update on how this system is developing.
