Victoria Forecast (issued Monday 18th November)
Best Days: Tuesday morning
Recap
The weekend didn't offer any great quality waves across the Victorian coast with small to tiny levels of swell and average winds.
This week (Nov 18-22)
But coming back to tomorrow, and the morning should offer a fun easing S/SW swell with offshore N/NW winds ahead of a late afternoon S/SW change. Hit up the exposed spots on both coasts to make the most of the swell.
The onshore change tomorrow afternoon will be linked to a surface trough moving in from the west, and once this moves into the Southern Tasman Sea it is expected to intensify aiming a fetch of strong to gale-force E/SE winds towards us (pictured above right). This will kick up medium levels of E/SE windswell for the Surf Coast, with smaller waves on the Mornington Peninsula but conditions will be terrible with the onshore winds.
This weekend (Nov 23-24)
The weather pattern responsible for the E/SE windswell will weaken slightly into the weekend but persist resulting in small onshore waves. The Mornington Peninsula will see cleaner surf but the swell will be small to tiny.
Longer Term (Nov 25 onwards)
A change in the weather pattern is expected mid next week with some decent W/SW swell on the cards for later in the week. Check back here Wednesday for the latest on this.
