Southern Tasmania Forecast (issued Monday 18th November)
Best Days: Tuesday morning, early Thursday, Friday morning
Recap
There wasn't much in the way of size across the South Arm over the weekend but today a new SW swell is filling in. This morning's 1-2ft waves should reach a larger 2ft to nearly 3ft this afternoon as winds remain favourable.
This week (Nov 18-22)
A fun new SW swell is due Thursday from a couple of weak polar fronts pushing up towards us over the coming days. The size will probably peak at 2-3ft Thursday afternoon but winds look a little dicey, swinging from an early W'ly around to the S/SE during the morning.
Friday will be dicey as well with a light and lingering SE'ly expected to increase from the E/SE during the day.
This weekend (Nov 23-24)
Thursday's swell should continue to fade into the weekend with average E'ly winds linked to a stalling low pressure trough off the East Coast. Therefore more exposed spots will be the go on the weekend.
Longer Term (Nov 25 onwards)
There's nothing major on the cards for the longer term outlook until later next week when we may see some new W/SW swell. We'll provide another update on this Wednesday.
