Northern NSW and South East Queensland Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Wednesday 20th November)
Best Days: Thursday morning, Friday morning, Saturday morning, Sunday morning
Recap
The Goldy and Sunny Coast haven't seen much in the way of surf besides an inconsistent 1-1.5ft of E/SE swell. The North Coast picked up a touch more size yesterday, and this morning we're seeing a similar trend across both regions.
This week (Nov 20-22)
This is aiming a fetch of strong E/SE winds towards us (right), with a peak in size expected Friday to 3ft on the North Coast and 2ft on the Goldy, with 3ft sets at swell magnets.
Conditions should be great with a light offshore breeze across most coasts ahead of E/NE sea breezes.
This weekend (Nov 23-24)
The E/SE swell should hold well into the start of the weekend but will ease off slowly through Saturday afternoon and further Sunday. Winds won't be as favourable and have more N'th in them but still early each morning will offer fun clean peaks.
Longer Term (Nov 25 onwards)
There's nothing major on the cards for next week as another broad surface trough/low stalls in the Southern Tasman Sea. This will generate fun SE swell for the Southern NSW Coast but Seal Rocks will block most of it making its way up towards us. We'll review this again on Friday.
