Mid north coast. Salmon, the mullet are moving the whales are swimming around. Clear water makes it easier for drone etc to see them.
tbb is too ill for sharkwatch, but if crew are gonna give a shit, tbb will kindly assist.
First up, all should all be made aware that 2020 SD data is rare, so best take care...
For the crew we can rally a half decent / recent overview, won't be anything flash.
Less Cargo / Cruise / Tour / Research / Fishing vessels is drawing in more Sealife.
Sealife will move into areas just hours after dredging moves out.
Also de-stress within a day of ships / fishermen / surfers / swimmers moving out.
After weeks of vessels vacating resource rich grounds the critters can approach!
NSW Fisherman got no Govt fee relief for restrictions so many are tied up at port!
World is between Whale Counts ...North Atlantic + Japan + Oz East Coast are up!
Whale counting is also off limits so all are relying on volunteers (Also restricted!)
Could be that an estimated count is relied upon for envisaged boom year.
Note less noisy toxic CBD waters are attracting rare visitors.(Syd- Pilot Whales)
These critters like Pilot Whales & Orcas need real clean water, so a good sign.
Environmentalists can claim 100% world wide covid clean Oceans to Skies.
So more of those discoveries (sightings) drives home our Coastal Pollution count!

2019/20 Great White sharks circled Goldie / Northern Rivers / South/West WA.
2019/20 Qld / NSW Sharks followed in the also record inshore Seaweed clumps.
Why! Seaweed blots echolocation & allows sharks a free crack at inshore grounds.
Local dolphin pods can't fend Sharks off their patch.

Obviously this 'recent shark movement' is due to global warming. Let's face it, every anomaly was due to global warming pre-coronavirus eg lack of swell/banks, bushfires, sea foam, Trump, Scomo, pending recession, unemployment rising, etc etc. Strange how the highly-educated/smh/guardian reading contributors haven't worked it out...

Just wondering what would be the driver of the recent "shark movement".
I'm in Margaret River and an article in the local press stated that there had been an increase in sightings over the last few weeks.
Also after the scare at Bells(?) yesterday(?) there was a comment that had been a spate of recent interactions.
Not sure what is happening in South Oz of East coast Oz but with these two regions having increased activity does anyone have any thoughts on what has brought on this activity. We are well into salmon season, could that be it?
