The Lifeline Surf Classic is back for its eighth year, bringing together surfers, local businesses, and the Northern Beaches community for a day of waves, connection, and purpose.

The much-loved annual event will be held on Sunday, 23 November 2025, at Queenscliff Beach, raising vital funds for Lifeline Northern Beaches, Mosman to Kirribilli, supporting local crisis support and suicide prevention services in the community.

“We’re proud to see the Lifeline Surf Classic become such a meaningful tradition in the Northern Beaches,” said Sarah Grattan, CEO of Lifeline Northern Beaches, Mosman to Kirribilli. “Surfing is the heartbeat of our community, and the incredible
teams who take part bring that spirit to life — uniting people, celebrating connection, and reminding us what community really means.”

While Swellnet won't be particpating this year, organisers hope to to raise $100,000 to support Lifeline’s 13 11 14 crisis helpline.

Last year, Lifeline’s Balgowlah Crisis Support Centre answered more than 46,000 calls from people struggling to cope. With demand continuing to rise, every dollar raised through the Lifeline Surf Classic helps ensure that no one in our community has to face their darkest moments alone.

Just $39 helps answer one potentially life-saving call.

A second hand surfboard sale was conducted at 7th Day Brewery with donations from Chilli Surfboards and Winter Vincent among others helping to raise over $3,000 for Lifeline Northern Beaches.

The tag team event will consist of four surfers and an additional pro, with the top fundraising team getting first dibs on their pro.
