Here's Part 2 of Craig's two-day surf mission.

Friday looked the biggest, while Saturday would see better winds as the swell eased. Forecasts filed, car packed, and it was time to do a quick dash out of Adelaide. They were stepping off into 6ft bombs that were throwing as wide as they were tall onto a dangerously shallow sandbank. Not many were made, but the guys would have visions of perfect cylinders etched into the back of their minds.

My profession as a surf forecaster involves scouring weather maps day after day, keeping abreast of all the swells occurring across the country. Whilst looking at the weather maps last week I saw a pattern evolving over my home state of South Australia and it instantly got me excited.
