Ahh the old elusive Bells lefthander...

zenagain Wednesday, 27 Mar 2019 at 09:43 am new

I love Judy Scanlons lineup shots. Another cracker today.

Bnkref Wednesday, 27 Mar 2019 at 10:14 am new

x2 on that. Judy's got some crackers from yesterday on her Instagram. Really captures the rawness and power of the Southern Ocean.

Great pic of such a picture perfect spot, only every surfed here once as a 13 year old grommet which was perfect for me at the time

Pity it just doesn't get the swell, and where is the normal crowd?

Hoax coast gem

murphy Sunday, 16 Jun 2019 at 10:45 am new

In the mid to late sixties, this place was considered one of the state's premier high performance waves.

goofyfoot Sunday, 16 Jun 2019 at 02:10 pm new

Fun on a longboard, that’s about it

The fall...

(WOTD last week)

Westofthelake Monday, 17 Jun 2019 at 07:26 pm new

So this is the guy from today's wotd?

Awesome.

Today's photo looks intense, hiding the fact that it is as thick as it is high.

Just curious, is there a reason the wotd doesn't have its own 'Latest comments' function?

stunet Monday, 17 Jun 2019 at 07:52 pm new

Yeah, it was something Ben, Craig, and I decided on a while ago because we didn't want locations being named in the comments. When we post WOTD shots on FB or Instagram we often have to delete posts that name a wave, so we simply didn't want to have to police a daily WOTD thread and give ourselves any more work.

If the surf community got to a point where naming waves was just not done then we may change it.

Westofthelake Monday, 17 Jun 2019 at 08:22 pm new

Yea now you mention it I think you've mentioned this before....soz. I get it.

"If the surf community got to a point where naming waves was just not done then we may change it."

Yea that'd be great, but unlikely I reckon.

tbb salutes Judy's Line Ups!
Swellnet crew go weak at the knees for just one of these!

Blowin Friday, 26 Jul 2019 at 12:47 pm new

Awesome caption.

After being heavily exposed to Kiwi bro gym culture over the past decade I’ve been employing the phrase ironically all too often.

It’s good to see it somewhere else.

stunet Friday, 26 Jul 2019 at 01:09 pm new

Can't read it withouth hearing the accent.

Blowin Friday, 26 Jul 2019 at 01:16 pm new

That’s where the fun is cuz.

Sometimes you sound like a major egg when you can’t stop speaking Kiwi for days though , eh Cuz ?

Cracking Jack Dekort pic today (Aug. 3rd)- not huge, not life-threatening but gorgeous colours, bright QLD winter sunshine and a beautiful take your pick peak. Rarely get homesick but that pic does it for me.

1+2+3 [Beach closed warnings] Tim is using swellnet crew as live bait...Epic!

Loving Peter’s photographs lately. He’s a very talented man with the camera

Craig Saturday, 5 Oct 2019 at 09:51 am new

Second that. He’s stepped up another level. Been killing it. Great work Peter!

zenagain Monday, 25 Nov 2019 at 11:51 am new

Comments about Peter Jovic WOTD's are spread between a couple of threads but again, this time from the water- nailed it!

There's a few photogs on here that I love their work but Jovic is a standout imo.

ilaydown Tuesday, 3 Mar 2020 at 12:15 am new

Is the method for submitting WOTD still via email through to yourself Stu?

GuySmiley Tuesday, 3 Mar 2020 at 07:51 am new

Today’s falls into the bloody hell catergory

surfstarved Tuesday, 3 Mar 2020 at 11:24 am new

My immediate reaction was along the same lines, but a little less polite Guy.

AndyM Tuesday, 3 Mar 2020 at 03:55 pm new

I’m guessing that was a few Fridays ago.

stunet Tuesday, 3 Mar 2020 at 04:02 pm new

Yeah, few weeks ago, not sure of the day.

AndyM Tuesday, 3 Mar 2020 at 06:48 pm new

Only the Friday was that big.

mattlock Tuesday, 10 Mar 2020 at 04:24 pm new

stunet Wednesday, 11 Mar 2020 at 05:37 pm new

Consider that one stolen borrowed.

Solitude Thursday, 12 Mar 2020 at 10:40 am new

goofyfoot Friday, 13 Mar 2020 at 09:22 am new

Epic photo today. Victorian solitude

blackers Friday, 13 Mar 2020 at 05:34 pm new

Nice perspective of the break. Sure looks more welcoming than the zoo footage fro the goldie/ noosa.

mattlock Friday, 13 Mar 2020 at 05:47 pm new

The advice given in the caption today is "a Step in the Right direction".

Bnkref Friday, 13 Mar 2020 at 08:01 pm new

Today’s is a ripper. Unique take on that spot.

goofyfoot Saturday, 14 Mar 2020 at 08:48 am new

GuySmiley Saturday, 14 Mar 2020 at 10:49 pm new

It was a very good 24 hours .... on both coasts!

mattlock Monday, 23 Mar 2020 at 11:09 am new

Another cracker shot from Jovic. The man is on fire.

Pete Jovic Sunday, 29 Mar 2020 at 11:22 am new

Thanks Zen. I'm a little lazy on social media in responding to people. I appreciate your kind words and I hope that you are safe, well and happy.

Pete Jovic Sunday, 29 Mar 2020 at 11:23 am new

Thanks Mattlock. I appreciate your kind words. Stay well and stay happy. Cheers mate. - PJ

Nice shot and better than sneaking around what were once secret spots and taking pics for a change
