Hainan comp 2014

Does anyone have information about what happened to this comp?
It was planned to start on January 16 but apparently nothing happened..........
Has this occurred before - a comp just doesn't get going?
Thanks for the replies if someone does know what the problem was.

According to the ASP Australasia's website, it's still listed as 'tentative'. Which I guess means it's not on. Last year's event website hasn't changed which says as much.
