Victoria Forecast (issued Wednesday 6th November)
Best Days: Early Thursday
Recap
Light winds and a moderate swell created good waves across both coasts yesterday before sea breezes kicked in. Today we've got a new swell filling in under N'ly winds that will strengthen during the day.
Short Term (Nov 7-8)
Early tomorrow morning will offer the best conditions for at least the next week across the state. The run of favourable winds and swell will come to an end during tomorrow morning as a surface trough moves in from the west bringing onshore S/SW winds. Early morning should still offer a small window of clean conditions with a W/NW breeze and there should be plenty of size leftover from this afternoon's increase in W/SW groundswell.
A stronger SW groundswell will fill in Friday but onshore winds will hang around spoiling conditions across both coasts.
This weekend (Nov 9-10)
One of these polar fronts will generate a new moderate S/SW swell for Monday, but as mentioned above, E/SE winds will create poor conditions.
Longer Term (Nov 11 onwards)
Monday's S/SW swell will ease through Tuesday mixed in with small levels of SE windswell, with the next considerable increase in swell being seen Thursday from the W/SW. This will be a long-range swell and won't offer too much size, but we'll provide another update on this Friday.
