Tiny average waves with onshore winds the last few days. The swell should be kicking touch this afternoon but with onshore winds.

This weekend (Nov 9-10)

Hit up protected spots Saturday for the best of the weekend's waves. A deepening surface trough will drift south and away from us, with an early peak in S/SE swell expected to fade rapidly during the day. Winds will be from the S/SW favouring protected spots. Come Sunday not much swell at all is expected to be left.

Next week (Nov 11-15)

We've got a dynamic week ahead as a much stronger and deeper surface trough forming off the NSW coast drifts south and into our swell window. A fetch of strengthening E'ly winds on the southern flank of the low will be pushed down towards us kicking up large levels of E'ly swell for Wednesday (pictured right).

Winds will be initially strong onshore but as the low continues to drift south and weaken, pressure gradients should relax as will the winds and then swell.

Thursday morning is the time to go surfing though with a straight offshore and fun easing E'ly swell from 4ft or so.

Longer term doesn't yield much in the way of swell so make the most of the coming period of waves.
