South Australian Forecast (issued Wednesday 13th November)
Best Days: Thursday for beginners on the Mid, Monday morning down South
Recap
A brief period of lighter E'ly winds opened up a small window of cleaner conditions yesterday morning across the Surf Coast but the surf was still all over the place. The Mid was tiny and only surfable on the low tide at the beaches.
Today the SE'ly is back in across the South Coast with a smaller 2-3ft of S/SE swell, while the Mid Coast is effectively flat.
This week (Nov 14-15)
Poor surf will continue into the end of the week with onshore S/SE winds across the South Coast tomorrow and slightly more favourable E/SE winds on Friday. The Mid Coast should offer a very inconsistent but tiny 1ft wave through tomorrow from a distant W/SW groundswell but this will then fade through Friday.
This weekend (Nov 16-17)
Conditions will deteriorate further into the weekend as the S'ly swell dries up and winds remain fresh from the SE. The Mid Coast won't offer any options either so plan a weekend away from the surf.
Longer term (Nov 18 onwards)
Lighter winds are expected on Monday but at this stage a true N'ly wind doesn't look to develop as was a possibility this morning. If it does though, a new S/SW swell should provide fun waves but we'll review this again on Monday.
