South Australian Forecast (issued Friday 15th November)
Best Days: Monday, dawn Tuesday
Recap
A small window of glassy conditions was seen again yesterday morning on the South Coast but today the onshore was in early and the swell back to a smaller 2ft on the sets. The Mid Coast offered fun 1ft sets yesterday before the sea breeze hit, with the swell fading today from 0.5-1ft.
This weekend (Nov 16-17)
There'll be no decent waves over the weekend as the Mid Coast becomes flat and the South Coast sees fresh onshore winds from the SE.
Early next week (Nov 18-20)
Winds will swing N'ly ahead of a trough and a new S/SW groundswell should fill in, building to a peak during the afternoon to 2-3ft across most spots. This will be generated by a relatively weak and small polar front over the coming 24 hours (pictured right).
Tuesday looks dicey as the trough is forecast to move across us just after dawn, bringing fresh onshore S/SW winds. So unless your'e out at first light, there's no use planning to surf on Tuesday.
Longer Term (Nov 21 onwards)
Another strong high will move in from the west during the middle of next week and this will again put a block on our main swell windows while also aiming unfavourable S/SE winds into the South Coast. Check back Monday for any change to the pattern.
