Southern Tasmania Forecast (issued Monday 2nd December)
Best Days: Early Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday afternoon
Recap
A fun increase in swell was seen Saturday with morning offshores across the coast, with smaller cleaner 1-2ft waves leftover into yesterday morning. Today the surf is a tiny 1ft and a fresh W'ly change is due into the afternoon.
This week (Dec 2 – Dec 6)
This swell will be generated by a strong cold front passing over us, aiming a fetch of strong to gale-force S/SW winds up into the state. A late increase to 2-3ft is due Thursday but with onshore winds, while a drop in swell from 2ft is expected Friday with morning offshores.
This weekend (Dec 7 onwards)
Small clean waves are due over the weekend, with some small long-range W/SW groundswell on the cards for the longer term. We'll review this again Wednesday though.
