Victoria Forecast (issued Wednesday 1st January)
Best Days: Friday morning, Saturday, Sunday morning, early Thursday
Recap
Small clean waves were seen yesterday morning across the Surf Coast, while today the surf started out tiny (great on the Mornington Peninsula), but a new swell should of filled in during the day.
This week (Jan 2 – Jan 3)
A front pushing into us this evening and tomorrow will bring with it a moderate increase in W/SW swell tomorrow that should peak overnight and ease into Friday. W'ly winds will favour the Surf Coast over the Mornington Peninsula.
This weekend onwards (Jan 4 onwards)
A peak to 3-5ft is expected across the Surf Coast with 6-8ft+ waves on the Mornington Peninsula under strong W-W/NW winds. A drop in size is due Sunday as winds swing NW creating excellent waves on the Surf Coast.
Another pulse of medium sized W/SW swell is due Monday but winds look average swinging SW with the passing of the swell generating front and the S/SE Tuesday.
