South Australian Forecast (issued Wednesday 1st January)
Best Days: Friday-Saturday in protected spots, Sunday
Recap
The South Coast offered fun waves yesterday, and similar clean glassy waves today, while a new W/SW swell has filled in on the Mid offering good 1-1.5ft sets.
This week (Jan 2 – Jan 3)
Give tomorrow a miss as the surf will be tiny with S/SE winds. Beginners should hit up the Mid during the morning.
A new SW swell is expected on Friday as a strong cold front sweeps into us. This will be associated with fresh W/SW winds with messy 1-2ft waves on the Mid and choppy surf down South.
This weekend onwards (Jan 4 onwards)
An initial pulse Saturday should be replaced by a second pulse Sunday with strong W'ly winds on the former and more favourable NW tending W'ly winds Sunday. The Mid Coast will offer plenty of waves to 2ft or so but conditions will be poor.
Another medium sized pulse of SW groundswell is due Monday but winds will go onshore in the wake of the swell producing front creating poor conditions.
