Western Australia Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Friday 24th January)
Best Days: Saturday morning exposed spots, Tuesday in protected locations, Wednesday morning, Thursday morning
Recap
A small reinforcing SW swell kept fun 3-4ft waves hitting the South West today and spiked the swell a little around Gero under offshore winds this morning.
This weekend (Jan 25 - 26)
There's nothing major on the cards for this weekend with a small dip in swell tomorrow morning under offshore E/NE winds. Hit up exposed spots across the state for the best of it.
Sunday will be poor with average S'ly winds and a small to tiny swell.
Next week onwards (Jan 27 onwards)
A small pulse of SW swell is expected on Monday across the state, but of more importance is a larger increase due Tuesday. This will be generated by a strong polar front pushing up towards us over the coming days, aiming a fetch of gale to sometimes severe-gale SW winds through our swell window (pictured right).
Winds on Tuesday won't be ideal and fresh from the S/SE, but Wednesday looks great with E/SE winds.
The swell will ease steadily through Wednesday though with small waves due into the end of the week with good winds persisting Thursday morning ahead of poor S/SW winds Friday.
