South Australian Forecast (issued Wednesday 29th January)
Best Days:
Recap
The Mid Coast started off slow today but a new W/SW groundswell has since filled in with the Cape du Couedic wave buoy jumping nicely (pictured right) and this should result in 1-2ft waves across the Mid Coast this afternoon.
This week (Jan 30 - 31)
This afternoon's increase in long-range W/SW groundswell should ease from an inconsistent 1-2ft tomorrow morning on the Mid, while the South Coast will see a new SW groundswell filling in, offering good sized waves but less than perfect conditions with a lighter SE'ly during the morning.
Both swells will ease Friday under fresh SE tending S/SE winds, favouring the Mid, but there isn't much size above 1ft expected.
This weekend (Feb 1 onwards)
Winds will improve for this swell down South with a light NE'ly expected Saturday morning creating clean, peaky waves. Sunday is looking a little more tricky with an early variable breeze expected to give way to a fresh S/SE change.
The model forecasts are overdoing the South Coast's forecast Monday afternoon, but the Mid should come in above forecasts to 1-2ft again Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning. SE winds will create clean conditions and good waves across the state.
