Southern Tasmania Forecast (issued Wednesday 29th January)
Best Days: Thursday at exposed spots, Saturday at exposed spots
Recap
Tiny waves were seen through yesterday under a fresh N'ly ahead of a late change.
This change lingered slightly into this morning but with a new W/SW swell coming in at 1-2ft across Clifton.
This week (Jan 30 - 31)
Today's increase in W/SW groundswell will hold into tomorrow with much better winds from the N'th that should tend variable into the afternoon.
A touch less size is then due Friday with morning W/NW winds.
This weekend (Feb 1 onwards)
This should fill in Saturday, peak during the afternoon and then ease Sunday. N/NE winds will favour more open locations Saturday while a return to W/NW winds will see cleaner conditions at Clifton on Sunday.
The next considerable increase in swell is due Tuesday next week as a deepening low pressure system pushes across us, aiming a fetch of SW gales into the coast. Unfortunately winds with this swell look poor Tuesday, while as it eases Wednesday, less than favourable NE winds are due.
