Java, Bali, Lombok, Sumbawa forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Thursday 20th March)
Best Days: Friday and Saturday for the most size, every morning onwards for small waves at exposed spots
This week and weekend (Mar 20 - 23)
A strong S/SW groundswell should be building across Indonesia today and winds are looking better than forecast on Tuesday with a small tropical low that was forecast to move across the region staying just a touch further south resulting in generally light and variable winds across the coast.
Today's swell will ease gradually over the coming days and into the start of next week as moderate trades kick in creating clean conditions at west facing breaks, although more variable winds each morning should provide plenty of options at more open and exposed reefs.
Next week onwards (Mar 24 onwards)
Unfortunately there doesn't look to be any break in the blocking pattern for the next couple of weeks and that will keep the surf in the small range right through until the start of April.
Check back on Tuesday for an update on when we may see the next significant swell though.
