Cam zoom

We've never had 'zoom' functionality controllable by users.. so I'm not quite sure what you're talking about. The new site upgrade has the exact same surfcam streams as before. Which location are you referencing?

Cams in SA. By zoom i mean you could pinch and expand the screen when viewing on an android phone. Can't do that anymore.

You do realise that it’s not actually zooming though? The camera streams at a fixed number of pixels, so you’re just making them a little bigger (but more blurry). You’d essentially achieve the same result by using a magnifying glass. Or bringing the phone closer to your face.

I have the exact same problem. I noticed that Swellnet has changed the format yet agaaaaain. Its swellnet that has caused this issue. You had a great service. Why not just leave a well oiled machine alone. If this issue isn't resolved, in unsubscribing.

Well oiled machine? Haha. Quite the opposite.

I understand that no-one likes change, but we need to continually improve our website so it performs efficiently for everyone as peripheral technologies are upgraded around us.

Rather than ‘zooming’ in by pinching the screen on your mobile, I would suggest that there are probably better ways of achieving the same goals.

Fear not, pinch zoom is coming back - just not this weekend. There’s about 8000 small details to double check and test so a few things slip through the cracks in the first deployment.
