WOLLONGONG & THIRROUL CAMS

Yeah, I have been wondering the same. Last time I asked was many months ago and was informed that many new camera locations were coming soon.

Yep, got a bunch of 'em ready to go, just waiting on final sign-off and NBN installations.

Yeah, taking longer than expected, but they'll be up soon. We don't have a surfcam installation department so unfortunately new surfcam installation time frames are subject to flexibility - many reasons of which are outside of our control (for example, sometimes it can take six monthr or more to get a simple internet connection active). Apologies for the inconvenience.

Sparky booked in for the week after next. Internet lines all sorted except one. Fingers crossed!

Thirroul is back! And so is its cousin, Thirroul North (subs only).

Our new Wollongong surfcam is installed, but we're STILL having problems getting internet connected (regionally, the NBN is apparently 'oversubscribed' in parts of the 'Gong, so we're having to resort to some complex procedures to get things active). Hopefully just another week or two.

I was surprised by the Kiama camera.

Not that I will surf there, but good for swell indicators.

Wollongong internet got activated yesterday! Just gotta get the sparky there to tee it all up and the cam will be live.

Just checking on Thirroul cams, both down, and Wollongong cam status.

Thirroul had an NBN issue. Technician went around there y'day, and fixed the problem (dodgy cabling in the pit in the street) - and then, for some unknown reason, our modem died (bloody annoying!!).

I'm on the road at the moment and will try to get a replacement modem sent over ASAP.

Wollongong is being finalised this Friday (camera is already installed, we've been waiting for NBN to be activated, which we have been advised went live a few weeks ago).

That Kiama cam is unreal. So close to the beach and so clear.
