Missing them air reverses....
Watching everyone do the same 2-3 turns is pretty lame. Surely length of ride on the left would score a decent score and add a bit of variety?
I would’ve also enjoyed some more lefts, but length of ride was removed from the judging criteria a long time ago. The left looks great until someone rides it, then it seems pretty fat.
I'm guessing not enough west in the swell?
I would of liked to see Gabby try a twirly bird off one of them 10 footers. Maybe saving them for the finals

Looks like the WSL might have some influence over the ISO international country codes. Either that or Jordy Smith & Mat McGillivray has emigrated to a country that doesn't exist yet with a code of AFR :):)

so glad the waves played the game for day 1 - so refreshing to see some actual surfing going on instead of the usually arse wiggle and fist pumping in b grade east coast dribble
