Watch: Kipp Caddy // Southern Paddle Session
With zero talk, just music, and the signature styling of filmer Cameron Staunton - is sunshine noir a thing? think glowering darkness on a blue sky day - it's worth carving time out of your busy day to watch Kipp Caddy's latest edit in full.
All filmed at the one wave, with a takeoff like Mullaghmore, yet far shorter and pockmarked with it's own distinctive, and at times unpredictable, features - as all good slabs are.

You’re a charger to be sure KC..! Some so magic and make-able, some so mutant and munch-able..!!!! Yiew, loved every second. Thanks boys..!!!
Any idea where that one is ?
(General region OK)
Dont worry - zero chance Im going to surf it !!!
Pretty sure it's in VIC. Don't think many people want anything to do with that wave!
Amazing surfing and camerawork
Good job mods :)
haha, yeh.. what was with that, @Sprout?
L***s, K***s, D***t, on and on, all plastered over the internet every year for the last decade or two, I get it, but let's not pretend they're secret spots any more, or that my comment affects crowds any more than making/posting the clip does.
it's tough isn't it? I mean, it is only really respectful surfers that keep things in the vault and so their associates and online contacts, also respectful, are sometimes keep out of the loop. yet one or two insta-heroes and a place can have the kook percentage rise. I would rather have the respectful surfer % increase.. I would say swellnet consumers fall into that category well and truly. Yet anything we leave here can be googled by absolutely anyone. That's the problem. And when the carpark holds only the amount of an ok line-up.. yeh, it's borderline. I'd hate for corelords forced to live in the burbs, sussing the conditions and frothing, going for a 2 hour fang down the coast, only to be met with 10-car-carpark spillover, and lines of cars up the track. the drone and voyeur crowd a threat, too.
I'm not looking for moral high ground but I just don't think we need to add to the problem. Simple as that.
But also, considering a convo I had with a twenty-something surfer recently, there's another thing to consider. He couldn't believe Newcastle had a secret slab in the harbour, or that Manly had a deep water bommie right out front. He found out about those through recent YT videos.
I was surprised he didn't already know, but only because I grew up on magazines that ran spreads of the harbour or QB regularly. Media changes, so does coverage of waves, so once-popular waves can become less so.
We don't know how those forces will move, so I think it's best not to give up on the project.
Stay cool, don't name names.
.
Your wisdom is appreciated
Its funny how the surf media sit upon their high horses, making money via clicks on videos of "secret spots", ordering pundits to say "no names" , when they know damn well that the link of the vid will be shared in chat groups ( which is great for said surf media exposure) AND names will be named.
Donald Trump - "I hired 15yo girls in an adult spa as towel ladies, but I told Epstein and co not to touch them".
That's the surf media with secret surf break vids.
Sanctimonious BS

I often wonder what kind of game Steve will play with his fabled NNSW point gets sand back. Is he going to go quiet, will he be forced to lie to us about the quality of the sand there. Or tell us it’s all good again so we don’t have to worry about wasting any money on our Ballina flight tickets. Either way these constant updates about sand at his local will end him up in a pickle somehow
