I'd like to get a photo of a mermaid giving me a blowjob, but I'll settle for a few pics of the boys getting shacked in a solo reef session.

mmclindin Thursday, 13 Jan 2011 at 09:33 pm new

I have always been obssessed with an underwater shot angle that is very rarely seen. An inside out shot of a tubing barrel breaking over a reef while sucking fish into the wash, with the orange setting sun dancing of the ripples, would be a perfect shot and this camera could catch it.

dobsdobalina Thursday, 13 Jan 2011 at 09:35 pm new

The misses got a surfboard for Christmas, she hasn't caught a green wave yet but would like to catch the stoke on her face when she does.

The current clarity of the Brisbane river

damiengroves Thursday, 13 Jan 2011 at 09:41 pm new

My Olympus "waterproof camera" recently decided to stop being waterproof as I was getting some tube footage of the boys at a secret location, so I would like to win this bad boy and keep shooting!!

glennfen Thursday, 13 Jan 2011 at 09:52 pm new

I have a long held ambition to actually win something after entering an online competition.....if I win this camera, I will take a photo of my beaming smile underwater ....and then get some pics of my 6 y.o boy enjoying his first surfboard..!!!

carl-williams-cock Thursday, 13 Jan 2011 at 09:59 pm new

I would dive into the filthy Clarence River and photograph the udders of a decomposing Fresian cow as it passed by on its journey to the sea. Happy surfing to everyone trapped in Yamba!

alrighty93 Thursday, 13 Jan 2011 at 10:17 pm new

I'd strap the camara to a rod and drop it into the ocean on video. Just to see what kind of fish have been elluding me all my life.

middletonkid Thursday, 13 Jan 2011 at 10:22 pm new

get me and a couple mates sitting on the bottom of our pool on deck chairs playing poker with a few beers and cards going everywhere

adzpzv Thursday, 13 Jan 2011 at 10:28 pm new

Recently my cuzzie, myself and a few mates splashed about in some one foot surf on the sth coast of N.S.W. My cuz had a waterproof digital and the photo's were nothing short of amazing! We looked like we were tearing and now I am stinging to get one into some real surf. C'mon Swellnet ;)

robdoobie Thursday, 13 Jan 2011 at 10:31 pm new

If I win the camera, I will take some underwater pictures of my hot naked girlfriend and email them to the swellnet team. She will agree in the spirit of winning a free camera of course!

bigblue27 Thursday, 13 Jan 2011 at 10:42 pm new

My brother is one of my biggest aspirations. He is a great photographer and not to bad on the board. If I win this camera I would love to be half as good as him and possibly get him out from behind the camera and take a few of happy snaps!

jun-cha Thursday, 13 Jan 2011 at 10:45 pm new

Take Photos of the surf, my dream is to be a pro camera man but i cant if i dont win this...
Also take pictures of my mates running around naked hahaha
We could probs make a movie like the hangover haha

stuz Thursday, 13 Jan 2011 at 10:51 pm new

I'm a 38 y.o grommet and I'd like to document my life dream of going to Hawaii which is happening in a few weeks.

mavoui Thursday, 13 Jan 2011 at 10:59 pm new

Oh most definitely my next facebook profile pic....underwater off course! How cool would I be? HUH. The rest of the time I would just strut with the orange Lumix hooked to me togs, on the hip like. Oh yer and maybe learn to surf.

robg33 Thursday, 13 Jan 2011 at 11:41 pm new

Like the movie Inception - Id like to shoot an underwater wet dream inside a crystal tube dream within a dream about nemo. (If you have not seen Inception I am not going to win)

lauraj27 Thursday, 13 Jan 2011 at 11:44 pm new

As a 26 y.o slowly learning new surfer, I would love to get the camera so my fiancée can shoot my underwater tangles and bops on the head I constantly give myself. Also handy to capture any future shiners (like the one I got a year ago). Action shots!

samcrab Thursday, 13 Jan 2011 at 11:44 pm new

I think the only logical thing to do with the camera if i won, would be to be tony abbots personal surf photographer and get some sweet pics of him getting barreled in his budgies!!!

brettmk Thursday, 13 Jan 2011 at 11:58 pm new

I'm co-assistant to the deputy-deputy manager of underwater picture-taking. Currently my 'waterproof' work camera is an old Polaroid 250 wrapped in a plastic bag. This system often fails and Mum says I shouldn't ask for a new camera because you don't make friends with salad. If I had this camera I’d take pictures of the wonderful underwater world!

calcaiger Friday, 14 Jan 2011 at 01:09 am new

Well i have always wanted to hold a camera as i surf to see what a wipeout would look like, so you can see on camera what you can't see while being flipped around 5 times !

stev Friday, 14 Jan 2011 at 01:25 am new

In complete honesty I would snap a photo of an Aqua turd, in its complete unsnappedd length. the brown sea snake

daveg9 Friday, 14 Jan 2011 at 01:33 am new

Well my last camera was stolen out of my car while I added some tube time to my memory bank & if I won the camera I would not have that problem because I would have the waterproof Lumix out in the surf with me while adding some tube time to it's memory card along with all the other small, seemingly insignificant glimpses of beauty from a surf session, "only a surfer knows the feeling....but gee, after seeing those amazing shots you took on your fabulous Lumix DFC-FT2, I now understand what you's were going on about all this time !"

maddigirl Friday, 14 Jan 2011 at 02:11 am new

Capture some energy from the waves!

gizmo Friday, 14 Jan 2011 at 02:20 am new

I would love to take a photo of my boyfriend as he hits the water and goes under after stacking it whilst trying to wakeboard or ski. As we dont own a boat and can only go skiing or wakeboarding if our soccer coach goes camping (and we go too of course) I would love to just get some awesome underwater shots of my 4 kids.
My 2 oldest ones are always play fighting in the water and I get numerous shouts of "mum, he kicked me" (typical boys) so it would be awesome to have the photo evidence of who actually kicked who lol.
My baby boy is only 9 months old so we are teaching him that its ok to go underwater at the moment. They say babies keep their eyes open under water but as I have contacts, I cant keep my eyes open underwater to see if its true so a photo would prove one way or the other. My daughter is almost 3 and she likes looking at fish (she keeps wanting to see Nemo) however she scrunches her little eyes shut under water so if I had this awesome camera I could try and get a photo of a fish for her and do all the other things mentioned above too. Endless possibilities with this camera

gizmo Friday, 14 Jan 2011 at 02:24 am new

Sorry got carried away didnt realise it was 50 words or less.
I wanna take pics of my boyf stack it whilst skiing or wakeboarding and of my kids gorgeous faces whilst they are underwater and of course mother natures creatures.

non-local Friday, 14 Jan 2011 at 02:37 am new

I would actually shoot my local going off and the local crew frothing. Then i would sell all my mates some shots of themselves.

non-local Friday, 14 Jan 2011 at 02:38 am new

Does it come with a memory card? If so how big is the memory card because I don't want to have to fork out on a new one.

nicksmith97 Friday, 14 Jan 2011 at 02:50 am new

I Would Like to Photograph My Dad inside a Barrel and give it to him as a Birthday Present. (Also, My Birthday is on the 22nd Jan so it would be a good Birthday Present) :)

365 Waves, 365 days, 365 ways.

steve547 Friday, 14 Jan 2011 at 04:04 am new

I'd love to take a shot of my local bombie (Cow Bombie) going off underwater. To see the raw energy of a huge wave and see a surfer skipping down the face with his bright orange board while being chased by a 50ft cyclone of water would be truly amazing.

joesibley Friday, 14 Jan 2011 at 06:34 am new

Because I like to dive to 10 metres deep, fall from 2 metres high, and shoot photographs at exactly 10 degrees through a 14 megapixel Leica lens.

joesibley Friday, 14 Jan 2011 at 06:37 am new

-10. sorry.

alex-leonard Friday, 14 Jan 2011 at 07:54 am new

I would photograph the ways of God in Nature, attempting to capture the vastness, profundity, and unsearchableness of His works. I would photograph, from underwater, old men too exhausted to speak, their hair turned to grey before its time, their limbs weak and their nerves unstrung. I would photograph a lofty crag on the northern coast of Norway, the belt of vapour beneath it, and the wide expanse of ocean at its base, its waters of an inky hue. To the right and left of this crag, as far as the eye could reach, I would photograph lines of horridly black and beetling cliff, whose character of gloom would be but the more forcibly illustrated by the surf rearing high up against its ghastly white crest, howling and shrieking forever. I would photograph a small, bleak-looking island, four or five miles from shore, and another, smaller, island about two miles nearer, hideously craggy and barren, and encompassed at various intervals by a cluster of dark rocks. Between the cliff and this island I would photograph a vast bed of waters, seamed and scarred into a thousand conflicting channels, bursting suddenly into frenzied convulsions - heaving, boiling, hissing - gyrating in gigantic and innumerable vortices, and all whirling and plunging to the east with a rapidity which water never elsewhere assumes except in precipitous descents. I would photography myriad whirlpools, spreading out at a great distance and coming into combination to form the Great Whirlpool of the Maelström, which has carried away boats, yachts, and ships, even overpowered whales with its violence, causing them to howl and bellow in their fruitless struggles to disengage themselves. I would photograph the insides of the Great Whirlpool of the Maelström, from the deck of a yacht as light as a feather, with a complete flush deck and only a small hatch near the bow, as it descended into it, careering round and round, flying rather than floating, getting gradually more and more into the middle of the surge, and then nearer and nearer to its horrible inner edge. I would continue to photograph even as I muttered hurried prayers to God and felt the sickening sweep of the descent, instinctively tightening my hold upon the little Lumix and closing my eyes. I would photograph the yacht as it hung as if by magic midway down upon the interior surface of a funnel vast in circumference, prodigious in depth, and whose perfectly smooth sides could be mistaken for ebony if not for the bewildering rapidity with which they would spin around, and for the gleaming and ghastly radiance they would shoot forth, as the rays of the full moon streamed in a flood of golden glory along the black walls, and far away down into the inmost recesses of the abyss, seeming to search the very bottom of the profound gulf, and the magnificent rainbow spanning the impenetrable mist below... That is what I would photograph underwater with the Lumix DFC-FT2 with its impressive list of specs.

Boom! Maybe a couple of characters over 50, haha Go Al!

alex-leonard Friday, 14 Jan 2011 at 08:08 am new

Sorry, it's 50 words or less is it? Just noticed that. Try again then.

I would photograph the writer Peter Bowes sunbathing naked and scribbling on a pad of paper by a rockpool in a creek up the bush out back of Uki, glass of red in one hand and pen in the other. I would get a yabby's-eye view of the nafty old geezer.

moobat-ma-bathy Friday, 14 Jan 2011 at 10:53 am new

I would take a photo of my poor little weener as things look bigger underwater. This would boost my self-esteem

hairmick Friday, 14 Jan 2011 at 12:32 pm new

I live in the far west of South Australia. Big Great White country! Give me the camera and I will smother my naked body in tuna oil, take a swim in the bay and get the best close up shot ever taken of a white pointer in the wild. Live or die!!!

jhf92 Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 05:32 am new

I'd take a photo of a naked baby in the pool. A la Nirvana, people, relax!

liseygurl Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 07:08 am new

The Brisbane River at flood peak!
Boats, restaurants and houses I would seek!
Publish the photo to raise money!
Christ will it ever be sunny?!!!

beavs Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 07:08 am new

I've always wondered if fish fart? I'd follow a fish around and see if I can capture some bubble action.

mickoz Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 07:08 am new

Would take a photo of my mate's arse cleavage underwater as it looks hilarious. The world needs a bit of laughter...

4boys1princess Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 07:54 am new

I would photograph my children, they love playing around in the water together ,but often someone ends ups crying complaining someone has kicked or hurt them in some way and of course they deny it. I could have photographic evidence of exactly what has happened, they even might start playing nicely, that would be nice...

jillidee Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 09:11 am new

I have a "bucket list" and on the top is my desire to swim with the the Whalesharks off the WA coast. These huge creatures have a gracefullness and gentleness belied by their huge size. I am terrified, but at the same time fascinated by these huge mammals. I want to swim with them, photo them from a distance and then closeup. I want to see their patterns, their eyes, their huge mouths. I want a great underwater camera to do this, I want the Lumix DFC-FT2!

kibby72 Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 09:18 am new

Mother in law that gives me grief,
An underwater adventure is what she seeks,
With an anchor chained to her leg,
I'd take a picture and let her beg!

ammc Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 09:27 am new

I'd love to take a photograph of a shark up close, with me inside a shark proof protective cage of course with an airtank and an single male instructer as I'm petrified of being bitten or drowning. Never know the instructor might just turn out to be Mr Right.

shellyto4kids Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 09:32 am new

Catching a wave with Nemo and Dory,
Avoiding Bruce or things could get gory,
Riding the tube with Squirt and Crush,
Saying hi to Marlin, making him blush,
My Waterproof Panasonic Camera will take the shots,
And prove to all that I am not NUTS!

melsbells Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 09:52 am new

I'd love to capture my husband snorkelling in the pristine waters off Castaway island in Fiji, and the moment those parrot fish turn around, bare their teeth and scare the absolute s*%t out of you as they chase you back to the shore.

daics3522 Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 11:11 am new

I went to the shops after a couple of beers,
to get a camera to take nude pics of my gal Britney Spears,
I headed home with camera in hand and I boarded the ferry,
to find Brit home in the pool naked with Katy Perry.
(splash, click, click)

psych Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 11:33 am new

I would take a photo of Paris Hilton floating above me, it would finally be proof positive that her head is full of air and most definately not brains otherwise she would be on the bottom of the ocean after I pushed her out of the boat!

swellgal1 Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 12:24 pm new

I have long suspected that my husband is urinating in the pool. He denies this, of course, but I feel that it is time to capture this loathsome violation of the pool rules on film and expose him on Facebook as punishment. The 14 megapixel Lumix DFC-FT2 should be sufficient.

melenki Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 12:25 pm new

I would like to use a underwater camera and go diving with the turtles and get photos with them. I want to be up and close with the marine life and use my photos to show the world my up and close encounter. Water photos have a unique look and have a sense of Nirvana.

lisavw Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 12:33 pm new

I would love a Panasonic Lumix waterproof camera to take underwater photos of all the gross bogans on holiday at the swim up bar who never leave the pool to go to the toilet, and shame them into admitting it!

msk Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 01:41 pm new

Compared to most of these comments mine is really boring
But i just wanna take some cool pics of the kids faces when they are underwater!
And my daughter wishes to take photos of the mermaid that she finds....

luckylyndy Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 04:11 pm new

I just like to have a photo of myself underwater..that I'd finally conquered my fear and gone into that big blue ocean...and god help me those shots better not come back with 'Jaws' in the background.

jemcaesar Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 08:58 pm new

Argghhhh... pirates! I want to take photographs of a pirate ship that has been at the bottom of the ocean for centuries. I'm happy to divide the treasure, but I'm a scurvy dog and may run away with it - let's see you catch me with your peg leg!!

kat067 Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 09:50 pm new

wow what a cool camera as i got snorkling with my 5 year and we see so many wonderful things in the ocean it would be great to capture these mememories with the Lumix waterproof camera.

eighty8 Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 10:47 pm new

I’ll use it to photograph my underwater home and possessions in Brisbane for insurance purposes. Just in case the insurance company doesn’t believe me.

wharfrat Saturday, 15 Jan 2011 at 11:04 pm new

Taking photos is my passion
With my current camera I can't have splashin'
An underwater camera would be best
For taking photos of the underwater bride in her dress
Boring shots at the park
Won't compare if I capture a shark (in a photo that is)

bertcolombi Sunday, 16 Jan 2011 at 12:31 am new

I'd like to photograph myself getting wiped out while surfing - trying to 'Rule the Waves' and 'Waive the Rules' is my lifelong ambition!

blacky Sunday, 16 Jan 2011 at 01:03 am new

I'd love to be able to take some photo's of me and boys out there while were riding the great waves cause when we go up the coast all we get are shots from the land.

kakan Sunday, 16 Jan 2011 at 02:25 am new

I would love to photograph a Great White preparing Vic Hislop for dinner to get back at him for all the sharks he has killed.

i would take some ugly photos of my friends being stupid underwater, then secretly post the worst ones on facebook for my personal enjoyment:D

bnbb Sunday, 16 Jan 2011 at 03:29 am new

Panasonic waterproof camera will capture the precious moment in time when I give birth to our baby which is due in August. There is no other device that will capture this underwater moment with as much clarity and precision. A set of photographs that will forever document this joyous occasion.

da-duke Sunday, 16 Jan 2011 at 03:48 am new

Recently when I was duck-diving a pitching lip, I turned to look out the barrel and a dolphin was jumping out of the face and staring back at me in the tube...getting this shot has since become an obsession. First things first, I need a waterproof camera!

jude79 Sunday, 16 Jan 2011 at 04:12 am new

I am going to boring and dull. I would love to take a photo of my sons as they enter the water after their first trip down a water slide. I think their facial expressions would be hilarious.

donkey12 Sunday, 16 Jan 2011 at 04:19 am new

Body boarding is still a sport,
Even if other surfers laugh and taunt.
Time to click our watery moves,
And prove we also have the coastal groove!

sifimele Sunday, 16 Jan 2011 at 04:50 am new

I am going to take a photo of the bottom of our pool so I can prove to mum I actually didn't scratch the tiles when I accidentally pushed the umbrella stand into the pool!

melissalee Sunday, 16 Jan 2011 at 05:03 am new

Everytime I go fishing I always hook this huge fish,
it always gets away!
At last I can have PROOF of this monster fish, I just don't understand why people don't believe me,
At last photographs of these huge jaws that have snapped my lines. It was (THIS) big. Honestly!

mai-stro Sunday, 16 Jan 2011 at 05:39 am new

I think an underwater camera would be handy for those 'oh-shit-i've-lost-my-pants/top/entire swimsuit-i'll-just-stay-underwater-and-noone-will-ever-notice' moments.

Id share the fortune with my daughters memories allowing me to capture my girl as she grows towards being a great little surfer and swimmer than daddy ever was. All summer its been constant attention to her new learning of the great ocean and what joys can come from living by the beach. Id love to have this to take with me every surf we go on and capture those amazing moments as Bella becomes the greatest surfer alive. She is only very young now but Bella is a awesome little surf lover and doesnt miss a moment to ask daddy to take her surfing or to the beach swimming . even when it rains shes is keen. shes a true champion and im one poroud daday. i really would be thrilled to take home this treasure of a camera. it would be the start of an amazing life of photographs and joy to come come them. :) Cheers Swellnet!!!

Captain Jacques-Yves Cousteau left his mark forever on the planet and the oceans. It is my turn to knock him of his pedistal with this camera. From the awesome depths of the great barrier reef to the mirky depths of Lilydale lake and Albert park lake.To unveil the underwater antics of bugie smugglers at full tide.To solve the mysteries of the deep such as what really happened to Harold Holt and where does the bath tub water really go?

My kids favourite bubble art
Yes thats right, " the water fart "
It never ceases to get a grin
No matter how you try to hold it in
It rumbles, bubbles, even foams up
And usually ends with a funky aroma
This poem may be too crude for some
But I say, when all is said and done
Lifes too short, forget the rest
Live, laugh, love, a mother knows best

milko-fats Sunday, 16 Jan 2011 at 10:52 am new

coastalkaryn Sunday, 16 Jan 2011 at 06:00 pm new

All the little turtle hatchlings taking their first swim would make a wicked photo. Our coastline here in Queensland has such diverse marine life that I would never get sick of snapping away under water.

My sister treading water, she is quite a large lady and I know she would get a laugh out of this.
We have 'evil' minds as we could transpose our other sister on it and show her what she will look like if she continues eating all and sundry.

Take a photo of Lady Gaga with the fish,
Would be my only wish,
Watch the fish go all gaga,
Over the spontaneous lady gaga,
The next thing you’ll know,
She’ll put on a show,
Wearing a fish dress,
To stun the press.

Swimming pool Manners :)

With my camera I would see,
just how many swimmers do a wee.
I'd post the pics of the dirty act,
now lets see how they keep their dignity intact.
please use the loo or stay indoors,
or would you pee on your home floors?

kyabells Monday, 17 Jan 2011 at 03:21 am new

I'd love an action shot of a whale's breach,
or a pod of dolphins by the beach.
A crashing wave on the shore,
Panasonic pix galore.

Inside this mountain just near Vang Viang, Laos which has an internal river that is about 500 metres long. When first there 5 years ago I smashed myself in the head with a motorbike battery that was hanging aroung my neck to power my headlamp as my rubber tube flipped over backwards. A waterproof camera would have been great!

mavrick5 Monday, 17 Jan 2011 at 09:28 am new

Wander down to Cheviot Beach at low tide and snorkel around to see if I can find and photograph Harold Holt's body. I may be able to solve one of Australia's greatest mysteries.

I would take photos of the lava oozing into and cooling underneath the ocean in Hawaii, its an amazing sight. I'm going to Hawaii around April to do some surfing and would love to take pictures of mates surfing. I dont own an underwater camera but have always wanted one mostly just for taking pictures in the surf.

takonis Monday, 17 Jan 2011 at 01:53 pm new

Ok well my sister and brother in-law are going to the great barrier reef later this year and they bought the Lumix DFC-FT2 so they could shoot the beautiful reef underwater while they snorkel... but i tried to reenact the tv ad the other week and it hit a protruding rock in the river and it broke in half and sunk. i feel really bad and stupid and now owe them a waterproof camera.

splashinabout Tuesday, 18 Jan 2011 at 12:39 am new

The Panasonic Lumix DFC-FT2 is impressive for Shore! Underwater snaps at Monkey Mia,capturing Local Dolphin's living the ultimate lifestyle -Riding The Waves ...Can't imagine anything more picture perfect that that!

swiftgriftau Tuesday, 18 Jan 2011 at 01:53 am new

I would like to recreate that painting of the dogs playing card (you know the one) but using Dolphins. Dogs are out this year, 2011 is the year of the dolphin.

theharry Tuesday, 18 Jan 2011 at 02:05 am new

We're just teaching the kids how to body surf, and our dog how to swim. My first shots have to be the kids faces as they catch a wave, and the dog's expression when he gets fully wet.

mrslal Tuesday, 18 Jan 2011 at 03:10 am new

Being 8 months pregnant, I would take a picture of the glory that is the expectant mother's belly - underwater to capture the beauty and firmness of the skin (and to hide the blemishes that 3 kg of baby causes as the skin stretches to extraordinary proportions).

emma Tuesday, 18 Jan 2011 at 05:31 am new

When i win this camera i'm going straight to BIKINI BOTTOM..who lives in a pineapple under the sea... yep im going to use the LUMIX to capture the one and only SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS. We could possibly have our photos published with National Geographic.I'll be the coolist Mum ever.

blastoff Tuesday, 18 Jan 2011 at 05:53 am new

I'd take pics of all sorts of marine life mating and then collate the pics into a porn mag for nature freaks!

squeegypop Tuesday, 18 Jan 2011 at 06:13 am new

Photography is one of my first loves.
I'm deeply fascinated by wave formation; and aspire to undertake a study of the ocean floor and associated wave behavior.
You will surely score some cool pics for your gallery!
...I dream of developing artificial reefs that harness wave energy to generate power.

barbiefidel Tuesday, 18 Jan 2011 at 07:16 am new

I'd give anything to take a photo of a whale underwater...Wait theres one!...nope wait it's just Dad.

ambee Tuesday, 18 Jan 2011 at 08:30 am new

I would love to take underwater pics
on my dog taking a dip
and if i'm not snapping my poodle
my partner will probably pull down his boardies
and take pictures of his......err hairy legs!

jennyroo Tuesday, 18 Jan 2011 at 08:55 am new

Getting married very soon,
I could choose land, sea or the moon.
The ocean won, it's out of the sun,
a waterproof camera,
my big day to capture,
as we all have a 'whale of a time'!

froggybabe777 Tuesday, 18 Jan 2011 at 10:31 am new

Take a few photos and test the shrinkage theory.

bluezbandit Tuesday, 18 Jan 2011 at 10:52 am new

Went all the way from Tassie to WA, as was my wish,
to swim with the whalesharks, what a fish!
When I got there, they said "sorry", the reason,
"Hey mate, you're out of season,
Come back at Easter, it'll be a feature"
So I'd photograph this glorious creature.

spongebob Tuesday, 18 Jan 2011 at 11:50 am new

Thats just what I need!
Tie on some fishing line & flush it down the bogger to find out whats blocking our plumbing.

reacher1949 Tuesday, 18 Jan 2011 at 12:02 pm new

I'm going to use this camera for something a bit different as I am going to do some minature underwater photography in my seawater aquariums. If I can rig up a remote shutter it will be ideal.

justone1972 Tuesday, 18 Jan 2011 at 01:19 pm new

I would Hunt for the Red October

lucywins Tuesday, 18 Jan 2011 at 03:31 pm new

Working as a teacher I'm always taking photos of the kids at school but I'd much rather take photos of schools of fish.

rug Tuesday, 18 Jan 2011 at 10:37 pm new

The dreaded Brown Mullet is an elusive creature. Hiding in dark tightly sealed caves. With my new Panasonic Lumix Camera I would hunt it down, risking life and limb, photograph it and show it to the world.

zenagain Tuesday, 18 Jan 2011 at 11:20 pm new

Almost as elusive as the now rarely seen Bondi Cigar Fish. Good luck in your quest rug, probing those murky depths. Don`t forget your latex gloves.

p.s. I don`t want the camera, already got one. But I do recommend the Lumix. Mine is 5 years old and still powering along.

butts Wednesday, 19 Jan 2011 at 01:03 am new

I would love to use the Panasonic Lumix DFC to capture the FIRST steps of my baby daughter entering the ocean, taken from above and below the water line. Even BETTER, having my wife take the pic and me being in it (which just never happens!!!).

Luky Al, love your response. he he

lu_cas Wednesday, 19 Jan 2011 at 01:20 am new

I snapped the fin off a late 60's singlefin in 2001 at a local rock bottom break. 6 months ago on low tide i walked out on the rock ledge and found it after 8 and a half years. i want to see some of the sights my fin has seen and maybe find another fin.

kombi Wednesday, 19 Jan 2011 at 02:42 am new

As an avid diver surfer and water lover, there’s an old garbo can marked “Osama” on the sea floor of the local reef. Id photograph it when I open it to see if its Osama’s Bin Laden with junk, (or a bin laden with Osama!)

jonjo Wednesday, 19 Jan 2011 at 03:58 am new

I'd love this camera so I can swim to the bottom of the lake near me and take photos so I can prove to my mates that it's not that I'm a bad fisherman at all, it's just that there's no fish in the friggin' lake! ;)

rose1234 Wednesday, 19 Jan 2011 at 05:05 am new

We all know that politicians don't keep promises.
I’d like to photograph the inside of Tony Abbot's speedos to prove that it's all b#llsh#t!

I'm planning a trip to see the Great Barrier Reef and I would simply love to have this Panasonic Lumix DFC-FT2 to take pictures of this wonderful underwater world. I have a Panasonic Lumix camera which takes a really good photo but not underwater.

dizzy Wednesday, 19 Jan 2011 at 12:16 pm new

I'd love to take an underwater pic of my ex's porn collection. Trust me, he had it coming. And now he won't be!

meckts Wednesday, 19 Jan 2011 at 12:52 pm new

would love to take a photo under the deep blue sea to see if "Bikini Bottom" really does exist......failing that my kids love making faces under water.....I can finally do it with the new camera!!

sheralee Wednesday, 19 Jan 2011 at 09:51 pm new

Diving beneath the sea what would I take and what would I see a treasure ship with lots of gold or the real nemo in an anemone No the best picture to take with my Lumix would have to be my smiling children swimming beneath the coral sea.

pclemmo Wednesday, 19 Jan 2011 at 10:31 pm new

My wifes crabs. She use to keep them as pets but thought it more humane to let them go....what a relieve to be crabfree in our household! Best if we take a quick commemorative photo of their departure though...oh to never scratch again!

skebabi Wednesday, 19 Jan 2011 at 10:43 pm new

I'd photograph my kids in the pool. I want to capture every moment in their lives (even when they're under water...)

girlie21 Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 12:49 am new

Husband body surfs naked early each morning. They say things look bigger under water. Love to photograph huge swell!

nthcoaster Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 12:49 am new

My Son desperately wants a waterproof camera to get shot's of his friends to find out which one of them pee in the pool. Evidence is power!!!!

frunue Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 01:58 am new

I want an underwater photograph of me breaking into Davy Jones' Locker. I bet that thieving, murdering bastard has all sorts of stuff in there....jewellery, drugs, body parts...and he probably has pinups of Playboy Mermaids having rudies with wipedout surfers too!!

redempress Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 02:10 am new

I would love to video my husband's massive fish encounter(apparently) you know the one that got away and any future ones so we can get our story straight once and for all on the boat.

tammie Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 02:49 am new

I would photograph everything. How could you not take a great shot.

gopher62 Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 02:51 am new

I`d fall from 2 metres high out of a chopper, dive to 10 metres deep, into the FRIGID ARTIC SWELL and shoot ANYTHING UNDERWATER at -10 degrees !

rugger Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 03:51 am new

A portrait of myself in scuba gear because it'd mean I'd overcome my fear of diving and could now experience the wonders of the Reef!!

cronullathup Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 03:57 am new

Find Nemo.

alex-leonard Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 04:50 am new

From the perspective of a frog sitting at the bottom of a well only half-resigned to its fate and always dreaming of something better - freer, higher, lighter, finer - I would photograph red dragonflies hovering over water. In other words I would do something sort of like surf photography.

spikepower Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 05:55 am new

Mermaids. Sweet hot mermaids. If they are on holiday then the lost city of Atlantis will do. If I'm lucky I might get both..hot mermaids holidaying in Atlantis.

maccinote Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 10:57 am new

'A Panasonic Lumix Swellnet Moment'....The fisherman that got towed underwater by the whale that fretinised with the shark, who ate the flip floppin' stingray that flapped around just long enough to knock out the opposition's board so 'goofy-foot' here could take the title and get the girl!

hjm2533 Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 11:25 am new

My son and his mates love having diving competitions in our pool and they make me video them. I would love to be able to take some underwater shots or better yet let them take shots of each other. They would love it.

micksmum Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 11:32 am new

a picture of a tidal wave going backwards underwater on it's way to Santa Catarina with me hangin' on for dear life so I don't miss the action.

buddha73 Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 12:03 pm new

It would not give me a Natural High
To see underwater, my Fat Thighs

Colourful Fish, even lots of Coral
Would take a better Photo by my Moral's

A Panasonic Camera would be Fab
To take my mind off lookin' at all the Flab!!

maxi14 Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 12:29 pm new

Love to take the camera to Scotland and see if I can capture a shot of the Loch Ness Monster although I could throw hubby in the water and get similar shots without leaving home!!

boyo21 Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 01:57 pm new

The next goat boat that drops in on me!

frangipanier Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 02:19 pm new

It would be SWELL to NET this prize, I'm planning a big trip this year to Hawaii and Fiji, then to L.A. - the Lumix would get a massive workout both on land and whilst snorkelling the South Pacific!

lucky790 Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 08:46 pm new

My young sons bubbles of joy as he swims in the surf for the first time !!

marc85au Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 09:10 pm new

On a bright afternoon, capturing the light and shade capturing an underwater POV of the tide and swell in movement. I've seen it with my own eyes and I'm desperate to capture it on film.

marog Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 09:26 pm new

The mosaic tiles at the bottom of the pool when I finally learn to dive.

kobes Thursday, 20 Jan 2011 at 11:53 pm new

I'd love to take a underwater pic of this guys hot butt I see everyday at the pools, but somehow without him seeing me do it lol.

cybergal Friday, 21 Jan 2011 at 12:06 am new

“Smile!” said the lobster, as Snapper rudely swore
“Hurry UP,” said Mud Crab, “I’m booked for dinner on the shore”,
Starfish ready centre stage, but there’s no time to gloat,
“Geez, I hope she’s got the shot – I think I hear a boat!”

mikt Friday, 21 Jan 2011 at 12:55 am new

To get out to waves quickly, pig out on baked beans the night before, hold the back of your board, let one rip and PRESTO! Groundbreaking technology... SWELLNET powered wave riding! Need the Lumix to get a shot of my invention... "SWELLNET" (Super Warp Explosive Lentil Launch Nitro Exhaust Travel)!

lsbjel088 Friday, 21 Jan 2011 at 02:38 am new

Lumix and I went to sea sea sea
To see what we could see see see
All that we could see see see
Were my three water babies
Splashing, swimming, blowing bubbles
I captured them just wearing goggles
Thanks Swellnet for our fun in the deep blue sea sea sea

wind-hound Friday, 21 Jan 2011 at 03:23 am new

There is an image.................of kelp fronds in crystal clear water on a South Coast reef being sucked into the trough of a wave. The glassiness of the water, the curve of the wave, the sinuous shape of the kelp, all as only nature can do….perfect.

kristy Friday, 21 Jan 2011 at 03:24 am new

Taking photos underwater would be cool,
The kids would love it in the swimming pool!
Bombs, bellyflops, dives and funny faces,
Somersaults, handstands and noodle races!
Photos of these fun times would be great,
And on a Panasonic Lumix they’d be first rate!!!

littlebeaver Friday, 21 Jan 2011 at 05:09 am new

A photo of a NOTORIOUS workmate;proving to all that she really can "TALK UNDERWATER";in addition to "TALKING THEIR EARS OFF" and "TALKING ANYONE UNDER A TABLE".I'd post it on the office noticeboard and the internet ,hopefully turning us into WORLDWIDE SENSATIONS!

leton Friday, 21 Jan 2011 at 06:15 am new

Look under the sea,
Is it a sardine?
Is it a dolphin?
No! its super sandworm!

missvicky43 Friday, 21 Jan 2011 at 06:23 am new

I'd capture some whally amazing stuff the like of which before never seen, My good self swimming alongside majestic whales, amid a gobsmacking background of creatures of the marine!!

bigredtracy Friday, 21 Jan 2011 at 10:27 am new

Outside Darwin there is a place,
where crocodiles are the ruling race.
Gigantic prehistoric beasts,
Upon other creatures they do feast.
A death roll taken under water,
as an animal victim is taken to slaughter.
A lumix camera I would use,
to remotely capture these amazing views.
