The Winner of the Panasonic Camera is?
We had an excellent response to the competition to win a Panasonic waterproof camera. To enter contestants had to tell us what they'd like to photograph underwater. The first answer was a lewd little number involving a mermaid and we were wondering which way this ball would roll. Fortunately it straightened up and some contestants used a lot of creativity - we received poems, jokes and stories well beyond the 50 word limit. Plus a few more answers including mermaids and sex acts...thanks for those.
But when the bell tolled and the fat lady bellowed the winner was....*drum roll*...Lucie Campbell, of Grafton NSW.
Lucie's answer about photographing her young son in the surf tugged at the heartstrings of this new father. Sentimental fella that I am.
But because we had such a large response we've decided to give away two more prizes as consolation to other entrants we thought were worthy. Steve Crocker will receive a book, Visions of Amazing Waves, for indulging in a bit of wordplay regarding a bin with Osama scrawled on it, while K Tina will receive Switch-foot by Andrew Crockett for a poem that skirted just this side of decency.
Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone who entered. The biggest thanks should go to the good folk at Panasonic. Cheers!
