Half the world knows and has known this spot for decades.
Just awesome to see it from the air....

Fellas, we run images of 'sensitive' locations regularly... It's impossible to run a surfing publication without doing so. But it's all in the way in which the images (and/or videos) are displayed and/or represented.

Some websites have no qualms about naming sensitive breaks no matter the circumstances, but we prefer not to reveal specifics - partly out of respect for those who surf these waves regularly, partly because naming the location spoils the mystery and allure of an unusual photographic angle or an interesting film sequence.

But....for those people on facebook, who post pics there and enjoy looking at friends pics or send pics to newspapers or other media.......its allover ?

Full G.P.S coordinates ------? linked to google earth or google maps
All this from taking a pic and posting a pic from your phone ? YEP 100% TRUE.
Turn off your phones tracking capabilities.....YES .....please do............but an app can be applied to override this function.

A POSSIBLE SCENARIO - A mate posts a pic of a secret wave he has just found, he grovelled for 3mths [Turner bros style] to get this place on.....took some pics and posted them online
10 mins max ....4 clicks and its location is revealed........and you can see the EXACT spot where he was standing on earth to take those secret piccies. so you have the time and date.....quick simple check and you have the tide phase for the location pic....little more digging through synoptic map archives and you know what swell direction this secret place needs .

Freeride be carefull with those secret fishing spots ?

Why would you not remove all the metadata from a file before posting?

Users posting directly from their smartphone to a Social Media platform (or any other website) are unable to remove metadata. In fact I'd hazard a guess that most users wouldn't even be aware that this kind of granular metadata exists.

However, I also suspect that many users - like me (and several other people we asked at random yesterday) - chose to disable the "enable location services" for photos during the initial configuration of their smartphone.

So, although it's potentially an issue it's hard to gauge how widespread it may be.

Thats why I take photos with this.

Well, I'm pretty high tech now Zenagain.

Took a photo of the one camera with one.

Then took a photo with the other camera with one..

Does that make sense or is my literature really amasingly badly.

I really don't know why you bother not naming this place tho given the location is in the video comments and its shows so much of the surroundings. Its also really well known as far a south coast breaks.

Well, we have to set a threshold somewhere. And this location falls on the other side of that threshold.

Postage stamp takeoff zone.
One natural footer making the majority of the waves.
Generally 2 good waves every 10 minute set.
Reminds me of another wave that I've never got barrelled on either.
I wish....

Heaps of other good waves around that area anyway.

We'll as far as I can see, internet surf has fuck it all. But as long as thermalben and his mates are making a living out of it all is good! Keep up the good work! Carnt wait for the waterproof phone(which isn't faraway). We won't need the internet just a phone that can forward on photos.
