I'm interested in what these guys go through when they wipe out. With a vest on I understand they aren't down for long but is the air immediately pushed out from their lungs? Does it physically hurt from the impact (like a slap) or is it mainly pressure in the chest or sinuses? Do their eyeballs feel like they are getting driven into the back of their skulls? Do they black out often and if so is it from the impact or pressure?
Even with a vest u can have 2 wave hold down . Or 3 ask greg long . . Sometimes u get lucky and grab breath half way over falls . Othertimes drowning occurs . Getting hit by a ton of bricks is how it feels in my experiences . Having your body pretzelled thumped falling out of a tall tree also just some of the feelings

Shipsterns!!?? Myron was there a wave before this one as it must have dragged a lot of water of the reef where it steps. That was a mighty double up step that drained beneath you mate. A 10 for that little cutback mate to drop down the step then shit the bottom has gone. One question Myron did you hit bottom or was there too much water when it dragged you up the face and over. shit I thought I was watching someone being sent straight to HELL!!!!!!!!!!!
