Behind The Shot - Kristian Laemmle-Ruff

Kristian Laemmle-Ruff provides some colour to today's Wave Of The Day and gallery:

"I hitch-hiked from Perth heading north to all the way to Carnarvon and then onto Red Bluff. Having never been to WA before this was a pretty dramatic way to be thrown into the Wild West.

Being from Vicco myself this place was such a contrast, the burly bearded faces, the sheer scale of the place.

There were so many people from all walks of life which I met along the highway. I eventually came to my destination Red Bluff. Whales breached every few minutes, the swell was running and I fell in love with the place instantaneously.

The crew camping there were super mellow. I guess this is inevitable when you live in paradise and there are perfect waves with only and handful dudes out."

Aren't they just Steve!

Just the simple life, the highway, surf, desert, chicks and great times. Can't beat that stuff and so raw and undeniably beautiful even to the most unobservant human being.
