Kerry1, looking forward to your review.
shoulder hoppers, fat, too crowded, better in java.
That Asier bloke was ripping, sick style
Asier surfs like a Spanish Jay Larson. What about some of those Spanish names - Inigo, Imagol and the winner is the fella with the middle name of Fdz.
If you'd told me 15 years ago that Spain had waves like that , I'd have said you were tripping. More fool me.
Asier just displayed some of the best big wave high performance surfing I've seen, wonder what he was riding, looked amazing!
Second that Craig. That board looks very nice under his feet very smooth surfing on a beautiful piece of equipment would love to know who shaped it.
His board looked slightly smaller than the others. Just watched it again, sick!
Axi is like Europes RCJ , won plenty of big wave awards , check out his camper truck at 2.42 , this dudes living the dream
Yep. Beautiful, exceptional, seemingly casual, big wave surfing from Asier (Axi) Muniain.
I was having a look at his facebook page. It's in Spanish. But he does seem pretty happy about the World Surfing League.
Of course, maybe without Billabong there wouldn't be XXL awards. But, he is not an historian.
From his facebook
"I would like to emphasize something very important that people should be pretty clear about. What were the Billabong XXL Awards, will never again belong to this or another surf brand. The World Surf League (formerly ASP) will lead and manage the known XXL big wave awards annually."
Hey Wally , does it say on his FB anything about the boards he rides ?
Team rider for PUKAS surfboards.
cheers udo
Is that right hander they were charging on the BWWT?? Looks to be one of the better high performance (as said above) waves at size. Big drops, barrels, turns etc all in one...
You got that many 'x' s and you're not in texas you are dealing with some basque cabrones
hahaha.... classic
This is great! I like this video. Thank you for sharing this. I want to learn surfing in the wave but i am afraid the big wave. Hope to see more videos about this.
