I know it's tow-in v paddle (and not knocking Paige's effort) but Layne Beachley's famed barrel at Ours was way more intense and makes this one look 'powder puff' in comparison.

Spewing. Now I've officially got to remove women's surfing from the exhaustive list of things I discuss in a tone of undeserved condescension . Sure their small wave brilliance leap frogged my own pathetic efforts years ago , but what kind of a bitter misogynist would I be if I was to admit that as a defeat ?

But truthfully....to see this surfer be overwhelmed by the emotions involved even after the fact, that's what is all about eh ?

check out when she is in the barrel...and the nose navigates a bump in the ,beautiful entry line on the boards!

......and don't think ya can compare Laynes barrel to surfing Jaws.......just being out at Jaws and risking getting a set on the head.....is....??
