Slater .
Merciless BURN , around the 9 minute mark ...
Apart from that , move along nothing to see .....
Bit dramatic Southey but I feel your pain. NP & surrounds has been exposed for years thanks to the ASP comp. Pretty sure it would of been a swell about 20 odd years ago that sounded the death nell. Wouldn't be too many wave soaked regions within 3hrs of a major city where you can consistently get a quiet wave anymore. These vids we love to watch aren't helping but that's the path ahead unfortunately I reckon.
I'm guessing the locals will still get whatever they want southey
Real bugger all those pony loafers clogging up the lineups. Imagin what it would have been like if the internet was never invented?
Were you out there Southy? Or were you deep somewhere else
If the internet was not invented you yourself would not be here my friend;)
hows the paddler dodge mid barrel at 4.53
Yeah . Special .
No I wasn't out there . Wasn't deep anywhere else either . Should've been somewhere to day ( no where I'd be sharing here ) , work the only spanner . Goofy , yeah instead of jostling for waves they had the pleasure of being burnt by " the best the planet " has to offer . Won't worry who else was there as they are use to getting smashed , as the surf there and the box and other nasties regularly ...
Margie's has a Ju Jitsu dojo .
Anyway who cares .
Bit late on the migrating backpackers. Lots of Marg's locals now sport European and Brazilian accents.
Everything that I love and hate about surfing.
It's a farking perfect pastime, and a terrible sport.
I have lived well more than half my useful time on this planet, and have found nothing that compares to it, but those crowds, those burnings.
Love, hate, love ...............................
Southey - welcome to the modern day world. Back in the late 60's and 70's we had the same complaints about locals, tourists, blow-ins and protecting Spot X's. And that was in little ole Enzed. Nothing's changed except more people surf these days so it's only natural 'strangers' are going to turn up at far away places and so called secret spots. You must have done exactly the same at some point in your surfing career. I'd be blessed if Slater turned up at my 'local' break or Spot X. I'd simply sit back and watch the best there is weave his magic - it'd be a downright privilege.
It's not mine to protect .
Typical Pro burn by Slater . I don't care if he's the cure for cancer . Was a dog act . Same guy got burnt by Freddy also . Bloody baldies , think they're
( son of God - Gary Ablett ).
No one is Ablett
Anyway, apart from that, that was awesome. So much talent combined in that little sesh Some amazing tubes. Great track. Incredible surfing mixed in there. Loved it.
Ablett's Cousins don't Kerr" Catch U S'later. All walk on water, two in the middle are drug assisted. (Let Gollum work that one out:) BTW all bald and all surf. Maybe KS should play AFL for the Eagles? 2016- North Point Drug Aware Classic? Apologies for my weird sense of humour. I think i'm punny.
