As a surfer, moving from SA to Bondi is like going from Miranda Kerr to Rebel Wilson.

As a swordsman , moving from SA to Bondi is like going from Rebel Wilson to Miranda Kerr.

Looks like this fella has the best of both worlds.

easy to watch for mine.. loved it..good work

goofyfoot Monday, 27 Apr 2015 at 10:04 am new

Good vid, but this and the last south Oz clip feature surfers that I'm not sure should be sponsored. They both surf well, and shitloads better than me, but do they really deserve to have sponsors stickers on there boards? I'm not convinced. You see guys at plenty of beaches that surf like this without stickers. Do surf company's give out sponsorships too easily?

thermalben Monday, 27 Apr 2015 at 10:15 am new

Does it matter who's sponsored? I thought the waves (and the surfing) were unreal... that's all that matters when I look at a clip.

goofyfoot Monday, 27 Apr 2015 at 10:58 am new

No it doesn't, and I didn't mean it to come across that way. Not really sure of the right words to use to explain what I mean.

I agree with ss...and whats with all the slo-mo..it just made me feel bored..couldnt watch it all

maddogmorley Monday, 27 Apr 2015 at 11:51 am new

I'm over slo-mo as well....

locii Monday, 27 Apr 2015 at 02:10 pm new

I want to see a clip in double time ...

zenagain Monday, 27 Apr 2015 at 03:14 pm new

Set to Benny Hill music;)

Blowin Monday, 27 Apr 2015 at 02:16 pm new

I'm loving the slow mo deal fellas, sorry to say.

It's a craze and will be gone before you know it.

Sponsorship, like everything else ,is all about who you know.....unless you are an undeniable ripper.

This fella surfs alright enough.

oldman Monday, 27 Apr 2015 at 03:02 pm new

Yeah the slow mo gives a better insight into some of moves.
Things you may not have appreciated at normal speed.
Like the stall around the 2.40 mark is cool in slow mo.

Sheepdog Tuesday, 28 Apr 2015 at 03:48 pm new

Great footage.... Standard turns, but he knows how to ride a pit pretty good.. Couple of beauty's on that righthander.... Shame about the tune.... Some guy rapping about "how hard his mutha fucking emotional life is" with billy joel elevator music in the background..... Was waiting for the cast of "Cheers" to make an appearance....

wellymon Tuesday, 28 Apr 2015 at 04:09 pm new

Haha Sheepio, thats funny shit.

But you know what, no two minds and ears are the same eh...!
I hate rap shit, its crap but that track went on a journey from rap shit to jazz to nice vocals and piano..
The journey is the reward;)

ugoinm8 Tuesday, 28 Apr 2015 at 05:33 pm new

I don't suppose it matters who's sponsored really.. at the end of the day it's helping these blokes travel around and do what they love, and hey goofy foot seems like you took notice! Job done.

I guess the discussion on sponsorship (using surfers and surfing to promote a company so they can further their financial position) ties in with my first comment about doing whatever it takes and filming/exposing waves for the film maker and the surfers own personal gain. Plenty of good waves on K.I Teale but you would be reluctant to film the lesser known spots there because of the potential loss of respect to your family.
What are you two gaining from making and promoting this clip and how do these gains benefit the areas you are using as your platform?
