Ok is it just me but I could only watch 2 minutes of this!! Every wave cutback, air reverse, I find it boring, Airs just don't do it for me I'm afraid.
Fucking hell "Flock of Seagulls"that takes me back.......back to when airs weren't even dreamed of
But the boy is a master at them.
Flock of Seagulls here, James Reyne there (Cluster), Jack would've burnt up the dancefloor at Carmen's in 1986.
And for the record - not the CD, not the MP3, but the record - I don't find big air combos boring at all.
i agree 50young. yawn. really good surfer. but the production is that standard pop-up-tart packaged bollocks so au fait with the dying breed of surfing corpos (I want hot tuna back)
also, compare this surfing to the clip of mike wright doing the rounds. when I watched miek's clip I was yelling at the screen: mike! mike! mike!
And I go:
What, what's the matter?
And she goes:
What's the matter with you?
I go:
There's nothing wrong mom.
And she goes:
Don't tell me that, you're on drugs!
as for flock of seagulls. so hip. so now. where's the hair?
too hip to be hungry.
he'll get moidered by the current crop of Brazzos.
next big thing was five years ago, he's just another face on the QS now.
Missed out by 3 places last year, sits in 3rd this year.
I reckon old Jacky will be lining up for Snapper 2016.
"too hip to be hungry"
now that has to be in the lyrics for the new flock of seagulls theme song for the WSL.
probably right Stu, but after watching him at Snapper this year and various other wildcard events I reckon he'll get crushed.
His ticker is in question and you can't coach hunger.
Same wave, same section, same move over and over... Yeah he has it tweaked to perfection but you get that in indo where the waves are predictable, I'd like to see him on different styles of waves and doing it backside or switch.
we actually did the the same wave twice a couple times (granted, different camera angles)
(all I wanted was a pepsi and she wouldnt give it to me)
FR I agree.....is he as hungry as the Brazilians no.......how old is he, will he be a contender or a journeyman?
How old are Toledo/Pupo/Medina/etc...while our boys are still trying to get on the CT...the Brazzos are already winning CT's.....and there is a lot more to come!
the real next big thing is Jack Robinson.......
agreed.
.....as someone said before , unlike previous eras they are all buddies now, however you throw in some hungry young guys from another country and the game changes, again. gonna be interesting
Check out the stalefish air rev at 3:02. Very saucy. He looks much smoother than most on tour. Mind you, those waves are perfect.
