Owen Wright scores a second 10 point ride during his Round 5 heat at Fiji. Wright's Perfect 20 heat is only the seventh in history.

that is awesome, but on sunny garcia surfing for the ps2 that wouldve been scored a 4. he pulls out of the wave half way through, couldve done 3 more rodeo clowns and a 5 second floater. lets complain about the CT a bit more.

I wonder what Adam Melling thinks ??
Nothing against OW , the guy rips , but it seems to me the wave itself gets way too much of a score these days instead of what a surfer makes of the opportunities offered.
Melling didn't just do a bottom turn , stand tall , go over a foam ball and come out ( as it was called ) he absolutely nailed his top 2 waves and I'm positive Owen would agree.
I quess it's just easier to judge this way pre wave pool comps.
