Felicity Palmateer at Cow Bommie - video

During the recent WA swell, Felicity Palmateer stemmed the flow of testosterone as she split the pack and got whipped into this wave. So was it, as some have said, the largest wave ever caught by an Aussie female? Another West Oz lass, Jodie Cooper, is the most obvious challenger. Cooper caught some very large waves at Sunset Beach in her career, and Ian Cairns has spoken of a maxing day at Haleiwa when Cooper caught a beast, but without video or photographic evidence it's hard to compare.

Maybe that's an argument best left for another day and this effort should be apreciated simply for what it is; a young surfer pushing her own limits in waves of extreme consequence.

Thats not the right u need to change your headline to cow bommie .there used to be a girl that would regularly paddle into big margrets but of course nobody will give credit for that . Sometimes dominating 12-15ft sets while the guys scrambled & dived under these sets. Felicity has done well shes now in the cows club

I suspect he has some form of dyslexia the amount of times he gets his names mixed up . A big day at main break margs about 5 years ago flic was out there which was unusual at the time for a young pro chick so its not so surprising she's done that cow bommie obviously tim has a premonition it will be the Right next

Awesome stuff Felicity! But before we start talking "records" (if we really have to), Camel is right, I believe he's talking about Rebecca Sheedy-Ryan. Haven't seen her surfing much since she became a mum, but Felicity has a fair way to go to match Bec's paddle in efforts in the days before over-the-top Internet hype hype! HYPE!!

Sounds like the article is comparing paddling with tow-in. If so, there is no real comparison. Both very different pursuits, both have there hardcore aspects & credit all round I say.........
