The Habitat, Episode 2 - video

Stu Nettle (stunet)
Swellnet Dispatch

"Much of our year is spent chasing different air waves and staying close to home on Maui's north shore. A few times a year the crew decides to battle the crowds and surf Maui's most iconic wave, Honolulu Bay. It seems like its been a few years since we've had a proper Bay swell, but even on an average swell she provides the goods."

You'd think after all these years that they could get the name of the place right.

Yep, I certainly don't remember the waves being that big when I was in Honolulu!

Perhaps Swellnet is trying to get better at keeping the location vague? although bombies is south or was it west oz? maybe a "mo betta" choice to coverup with new names than one of Hawaii,s most crowded spots

Great waves but the slo mo is terrible! Surfing generally looks far more impressive in real time IMO.

When I was on Maui in 1988 the locals in the water and ready to hit the water they were all saying The Bay is going off Bro! Honolua Bay, and who gives a rats if someone made a spelling mistake so what!! the days I had it were a bit better than this video AND not crowded in 1988 of course. Probably before some of you guys even were young enough to get on a board.
