A couple of absolute nuggets in that clip. He seems to be always trying new stuff .
The amount of raw torque DR puts through those turns is pretty mindblowing - I wish I could sink the rail to the stringer on every turn!
Love the body language when he blows a turn.
He certainly makes very average waves look good. If this is what a hurricane serves up I wonder what it is like without one?

Most of the QS guys would kill for exposure like this and do a way better job of promoting professional surfing in my opinion.
The majority of this clip is similar to sitting at my local car park on an average off shore day.
Not only does Dane R. get a free pass to several WSL events this year, he is now getting a free pass to airtime on Swellnet regardless of the quality of the vision uploaded.
This clip mirrors the quality of the texta drawn tshirts and garb that I have seen promoted by DR, I actually think I would prefer to watch his girlfriends dog doing donuts in her toy car than this.
Perhaps Swellnet could run an unknown rippers section on a Friday. ?
It would not be hard for each real surfing state in Australia to produce a better weekly clip than this average vision.

Hey Black-duck and mehollywood just watched the clip again I confess there is a few backside turns of brilliance yet the majority of this clip is not DR high performance or pro surfing high performance level.
Apology's if you are sitting on your couch wearing your texta scribble tshirts and cool runners.
Just an observation that is all.

I think if you read my first post you will see that I said there were a couple of nuggets in that clip. We agree on that score.
The video is titled Dolores Raw . I think that was the clue that it wasnt going to be an edited video full of only his best rides.
So good to hear a quality track like that behind some stylish surfing. We all know who DR is. Marc Ribot however is the guitarist behind much of Tom Waits music. Also outspoken on artist royalties and how large tech corporations etc are able to use artists work without having to pay anything for it.
