bloody hell. That's well made isn't it.
Awesome vid.
Fuck that was epic!
That has got to be the best I have seen.
Absolutely stunning imagery.
Just makes me wanna head back over !
Gorgeous footage, and nice to see some (stunning) landscapes interspersed in there, breaking up the surfing continuity.
I also like seeing a wave from start to after the finish like this had a few times, seeing the surfer get nailed in the barrel and then pop up out the back of the wave. I hate the 2-second flash that is so prevalent these days, trying to look wow flashy different but just gives me eyestrain, a headache and a feeling of having wasted my time.
One thing tho - the footage of Jaws (I presume): I'm sure I've seen that wave from 2:25 last year. The way he finished, pulling his sleeve down and then rolling off the board looked really deja vu.
Yeah, found it. Spliced in at 2:35 was from the end of Ryan's water footage of Shane Dorian at Jaws Dec 2014, Billabong XXL entry#9. I don't have a problem with that, but it's not "early season Hawaii". Not sure where that blurb came from.
Looks mostly shot last season.
All surf footage aside from Jaws filmed this year.
Gah, can't wait to get back there! Just had a look at the most recent model runs - looks like the storm track is looking better for the latter days of the waiting periods of the Sunset and Maui comps, and maybe just maybe a macking pipe swell to sort the men from the..ummm...brazos.
Sick pit at Logs (?) 4:42
that's the way to do it .... didn't see an airs in that lot and that's a darn good thing
That was awesome, going there for 3 weeks in January/February and that just got me even keener.
