Yeah Ross uploaded this yesterday (along this Insta video):

"I'm so sorry @tomloweyo @mcnamara_s @jamie_mitcho for this incident that occurred two days ago at Nazare ! I was partly to blame ! I got a right far away from the paddlers into their line of fire ! @mcnamara_s got to me first on the ski closely followed by @jamie_mitcho ! I should of just jumped onto @mcnamara_s sled instead of waiting for @jamie_mitcho ! He tried twice to get me then that shit happened ! I'm so bummed that @jamie_mitcho received so much negative press and comments about this ! @jamie_mitcho is very capable on a JetSki and one of the Best Watermen in the World!
Thankful that nobody was hurt!
Made some good drama for the media but let's get the truth before throwing people under the bus ! Let's all be safe today and most of all have FUN"

Nasty. Glad everyone is ok.

Good on RCJ for manning up and sending through his apologies. I don't think the crap would have been coming from within the big wave crew, they're a pretty tight-knit bunch from what I can gather.

Thats right zena , the tow crew have invited the paddlers to the scene & they all know that skis are needed to paddle it ( ski assisted paddle ) ie ski drops surfer off just as the rogue peak forms somewhere wherever that maybe on a massive playing field

I reckon what's so amazing is that amongst all that maelstrom of whitewater, that the ski still managed to hit the surfer. What are the odds of that?!? Glad it worked out well in the end, could of been a lot worse for sure.
