This morning Brock Little passed away from cancer. Until recently, Brock kept his illness secret sharing it only with family and friends. It's reported he was surrounded by those same family when they said their last goodbyes.

The way he went out: smiling, gracious, not expecting miracles but stoked on the life he had led: that was more heroic and inspiring to me than any big wave he paddled into.

I met Brock very briefly once, a lovely down to earth bloke. I remember that as much as his surfing.
Gone too soon like most great people. Reminder to live every day decently and look after your brothers and sisters worldwide.
