Vale Brock Little: 1967-2016 - video

Stu Nettle (stunet)
Swellnet Dispatch

This morning Brock Little passed away from cancer. Until recently, Brock kept his illness secret sharing it only with family and friends. It's reported he was surrounded by those same family when they said their last goodbyes.

Matt Warshaw compiled this clip of video moments from Brock's pro career.

Best big wave surfer never to win The Eddie?

Mightn't mean much, but if they can say the same thing about Big Simon and Taj and the world title then this accolade applies.

Sad day indeed and a real charger back in his day. RIP
I named my 1st born after him because I liked the way
he charged.

How's the totally relaxed, arms by the sides pose at 1:42, half-way down the face of a 20-foot beast? Nice...

Brock's swell for the Eddie late next week? Finger's crossed would be a fitting send off for such a champ.

I forgot what a great all round surfer he was instead of remembering him just in the big stuff. RIP.

The way he went out: smiling, gracious, not expecting miracles but stoked on the life he had led: that was more heroic and inspiring to me than any big wave he paddled into.

First picture on the wall. What a legend. Eddie's back on. Be even more special for Brock.

I met Brock very briefly once, a lovely down to earth bloke. I remember that as much as his surfing.

Gone too soon like most great people. Reminder to live every day decently and look after your brothers and sisters worldwide.
