Taylor Knox at Lowers - video

Stu Nettle (stunet)
Swellnet Dispatch

In recent years the judging criteria has rewarded surfers who shun the double pump bottom turn and other extraneous wiggles in favour of uninterrupted lines between turns. It's as much a matter of great timing as it is singular commitment and the modern template - shitty beachbreaks notwithstanding - owes a hell of a lot to this guy, Taylor Knox.

The above clip, filmed just a few days ago, shows Knox in fine form but at a minute long with the spotlight shared with Evan Geiselman it's too damn short. Check Knox's Innersection clip from five years back for more big heavy stuff.

You can always count on Taylor to displace a bit of water.

Agreed totally Stu. You look at how Jordy is surfing at the moment he must have been studying Taylor as some of the turns look identical. I noticed on his insta he said it is so hard to pull off properly. And savanovait are you a poet who didn't know it?
