Did this swell get into Noosa? Haven't seen any pic's yet.

kezza1709 Saturday, 11 Jun 2016 at 05:37 pm new

Plenty of swell at Noosa but the westerly was too strong from what I saw

chook Saturday, 11 Jun 2016 at 04:21 pm new

getting pretty deep on that ride at around 1.30!

i thought this was going to be an early morning session with sunshine, the kneelo at maroubra.

Dramatic... Wish I got some of those this swell though

freeride76 Saturday, 11 Jun 2016 at 08:05 pm new

how was DI?

the hype was strong for that.

nice edit but my god , the drama.

timmeh Tuesday, 14 Jun 2016 at 03:50 pm new

DI no good in westerly it blows straight up the face and puts ribs it....... Still didn't stop 200 4wds making the trek to check!

Blowin Saturday, 11 Jun 2016 at 08:24 pm new

Fuck, I couldn't finish watching with that music.

That was ironic , right ?

simba Saturday, 11 Jun 2016 at 08:59 pm new

what music....

Blowin Saturday, 11 Jun 2016 at 10:08 pm new

OK.

I just rewatched it under the assumption that it was a pisstake and I enjoyed it.

Great waves, like a fun day at a South west beachie.

That barrel at minute thirty was sick.

Backlit pits , good surfers and the symphonic implication that Strider, Legolas and Gandalf were about to hit the lineup.....nice.

goofyfoot Saturday, 11 Jun 2016 at 10:10 pm new

Not trying to sound like a wanker but there's a beachie an hour from my joint that looks like that pretty much everytime it's 6ft and offshore..

Yep I know, I sound like a wanker

benski Saturday, 11 Jun 2016 at 11:05 pm new

Heaps of others on the sunny coast like that too, it's just that it's six foot and offshore only about once every three years.

The clip is by the same filmmaker who made the surf film Fantasea in the late 70’s. That's some good longevity in the business.

I used to live there we got some great sessions but not like that one freeking warrsom !!

Pettex Sunday, 12 Jun 2016 at 07:38 pm new

Be great to see this in a real time edit

AndyM Monday, 13 Jun 2016 at 02:59 pm new

Agreed mate, too much slo-mo is generally excruciating.
Apart from that, it had everything going for it.

Legrope Monday, 13 Jun 2016 at 02:38 pm new

Nice waves, quite user friendly. The music sounded like some big screen epic blockbuster! Real time edit would only be 30 seconds and quite normal without the tunes.

dingoslee Tuesday, 14 Jun 2016 at 12:49 pm new

Nice waves, shame about the music.

gnomen Tuesday, 14 Jun 2016 at 03:43 pm new

Great surfing, musically it sounded like a Disney animated Epic!
