Enjoyed that a lot . Especially the 2nd wave .
He looked much more relaxed than when he is surfing in a contest .Busting the fins and going to the air.
Yep, 'ole Ottz seems to stiffen up when competing. Shame. Results would surely come if he could surf more relaxed and less robotic.
Love the paddle into the slab - why tow in - it does look slightly easier though :)
Geez, that looks like a fun wave. Reminds me of a similar one up on the Sunny Coast.
Don't know about the "chopes training ground" though ... don't see too many takeoff's at chopes from behind the peak like Ottz was paddling into in that clip. Takeoff's on the peak and subsequent freefall, hope to fuck the fins and rail engage feeling would be similar though ... one that note, I wonder how many times the first wave was repeated during the session?
Great surfing, that wave is probably the closest to Teauphoo on East Coast. Hope Ottz gets a crack with some decent waves for Tahiti.
Yu been scoring any waves Mickfree ?
I feel like I am temporarily out of the loop and it's making me bitter as fuck....I'm hoping your faring better and would love to hear of your exploits.
Or Camels.
Just seen your message Blowin sorry. Nah I have been out most of winter with knee injury. But may head to Indo this coming weekend for a hit out in West Java. I think Camel is injured too....haha getting old
