Welsh road song - video

Stu Nettle (stunet)
Swellnet Dispatch

The weekend is almost upon us so how's about some travelling vibes? These Welsh lads hit the right tone with good waves, great tunes, and the odd bit of exploring. Not the best surfing you've ever seen but you wouldn't know it from the smiles.

Cool vid.

Clif, you anywhere near St. Agnes in Cornwall?

A good mate of mine from here in Japan is a surfer and he and his wife (and newbie little one) own a little local cafe there called Genki Cafe.

If you ever pass through that way, drop in and say g'day. His name is Owen, he's Welsh and he is as funny as he is charming. Top bloke.

hey m8 - I am in Northumberland now. Great coastline, lots of spots and few people. I also go down to Yorkshire a bit and a lot up to Scotland now. A few trips to the very tricky Welsh coast. I don't get to Cornwall - the waves there are of much lesser quality - but if I do i'll stop in and say g'day to your friend for sure.

Good to hear you've dropped anchor in the secret kingdom, not a bad spot eh. Were you out at cresswell a few weeks back? Got chatting to an Aussie on a twin fin.

haha yeah I surf there a lot. I don't ride a twin, though. I ride an orange fish regularly, however.

Cool I'll keep an eye out for you. Good to hear your getting a few anyway, there's so many great looking set ups along this coast that to my knowledge have never been surfed as well as a couple of well known ones yorks way that I'm sure your familiar with. Happy exploring!

Loved it. Having a good time in decent but not stellar waves; a lot like our local adventures.

Love the Welsh coastline, so many nooks and crannies - and the massive tidal variations means conditions change rapidly over short periods of time.

That pretty much sums up the entire UK coastline, 12500 k's of nooks and crannies.
