I always want to check out these Occ-Cast things but i find them a bit hard to sit through, my solution when no one is home turn it up and do something like the dishes.

Love Occ (everyone does right ?) but not sure he is the the right guy for this. Great guests but I find it hard to listen when Occ speaks at the same time as guests. A bit of basic media training wouldn't go astray.
By the way really enjoying the lipped podcasts.

Hard to get my head around the ruthless vulture instinct of drug dealers. So TC has been clean for five years following a very public fall from grace, sees his old dealer at Andy Irons' funeral - who obviously also died from drugs. And he gives Tom a card with his number on it just so he could....what? Blow off the sadness of AI's passing? Innocently let his hair down a little..?
Fucken hell.
Drugs can be a shitload of fun, but when your customers are dying or fighting addiction how can you rationalise your 'business' as a harmless little venture?
And how the hell can Andy's friends and the surfing community not be all over such a guy ? Lets hound a guy out of the water for being a dick but is OK to flog drugs to addicts. Answer - drugs are still rife in surfing including pros and they need to buy from somewhere. That is why Andy's addiction was covered up and not reported for so long. Even now the hero message on Andy glosses over the effects of drugs on him and those around. He died a completely pointless death because of drug use.
Totally agree I have been banging on about this forever. We still don't know what was wrong with Andy and what he was on yet here is TC putting himself out there. Nothing to be ashamed should just serve as an example of what addiction can do. There must have been quite a few influential users amongst the funeral otherwise the guy would have had the shit beaten out of him.
Yep. I'm so glad Tom finally got clean and came clean with everyone. He was pretty clear about the absolute destruction he caused with family and friends. To admit it and come thru - amazing.
When talking about that 1991 Snap....i was sure Occ was going to ask if it was done while under the effects of one of the biggest lines of Charlie ever........
