So close to avoiding the clichés. No 'Oisrish' laughter, no diddly dee band, no close ups of a pint of Guiness in front of the fire in the Bridge Bar and I take my hat off for all of that, but I wish Mick had too.
It's pretty clear Mick is done chasing world titles. If he steps away good on him. I just hope he doesn't go into 2017 half hearted - better to step away and give more kids a chance to step up.
I love the hat. Always wanted a Crieff Cap think I will get one. Mick you are a legend in the true sense of the word. Slater is a great surfer but cannot relate to the guy at all however I reckon you are the real deal. Rip Curl picked a winner no doubt about that.
