Running hot and cold in Portugal - video
Not sure when it exactly began but it seems Portugal is the surf nation du jour - or do dia, as it is.
No doubt Nazare helps it's cause, as do Coxos, Cave, and Supertubos. While in terms of human resources, Frederico Morais is waving the flag on this year's CT with Joao de Macedo, Hugo Vau, and Alex Botelho doing likewise on the BWT.
None of those fellas appear in this clip, though it does have Marlon Lipke who is half Portuguese, plus an Italian and a Pom for good measure.
No matter, like all surf travellers in Portugal you only came here for the waves.

Would love to go there to begin with. Great waves and so much kultcha.
I'll probably leave the Teddy at home though.
Frothing. Heading back there after almost 25 years. 10wks and counting. Will be springtime, so not perfect, but almost 6 months since I had a surf so gagging for it.
