Here's a vid about paying your dues. Niccolo and Francisco Porcella have seemingly come from nowhere - Maui via Sardegna if you must know - yet now their names regularly fill the XXL award nominations. Last year Niccolo won the Heaviest Wipeout Award for his Teahupoo drubbing, while Francisco's no shrinking violet either.
As Niccolo said to Stab last year: “Wipeouts nowadays are more exciting than making the wave, you know?”
This clip begins with the brothers taking off together at windblown Peahi, includes Francisco's recent beating at a Maui slab, and finishes with his arse-to-the-glass ride at Mavericks.
